Authoring to a standard DVD
For DVD authoring the footage is either captured from a video source into a computer or taken directly from digital files. This footage is then encoded into an mpeg2 file with relevant chapter markers. Encoding can be set to constant or variable bit rate to achieve the highest quality. Menus can be created with various background, music, titling etc. DVDs can be created in either PAL or NTSC and made to auto repeat if necessary.
