Film is prepared for telecine from the small 15 metre (50 ft) reels, and then transferred either one light or auto grade to the video format of your choice. Our telecine can transfer at 18, 24 or 25fps. Most Super 8 users shoot at 18 fps and we transfer at this speed unless otherwise advised. Small reels that have been joined are returned on cores, which are not suitable for future projection. Spools can be obtained at extra cost. Film transferred to Mini DV or DVCam remains in the digital domain throughout as no analogue interface or conversion is used.
